ai:conomics Summit –Navigating the Future of Work Together

On October 15, 2024, the ai:conomics Summit, themed Navigating the Future of Work Together, took place in Berlin, bringing together creators and shapers of a working world where Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a key role. The ai:conomics project presented scientific findings from three years of in-depth research on AI’s impact on the workplace, offering insights from both individual companies and the broader labor market.

The first part of the event featured a keynote and panel discussion on AI’s implications for the labor market, with a special focus on the industries and occupations most affected by this transformative technology.

The second segment included a presentation and panel on the practical application of AI within companies, examining how AI is reshaping work practices, enhancing productivity, and how employees experience the integration of AI.

A poster walk provided participants with comprehensive insights into ai:conomics’ research, offering an overview of studies, findings, and their practical applications. The event closed with political perspectives, highlighting the unique opportunities and challenges AI brings to the labor market in Germany and Europe.

The summit emphasized the value of interdisciplinary collaboration and the importance of a shared vision for AI in the workplace. Together, we can shape AI implementation in a way that benefits not only companies but also people and society at large.
